My research focuses on studying circadian-clock mediated mechanisms of plant growth and plant defence against pathogens and herbivores. The central aim of my study is to characterize the molecular mechanism of GIGANTEA (GI), a key component of the circadian clock, in Solanum lycopersicum, as well as to investigate its selective manipulation as a potential biotechnological tool.
